There were two reasons I couldn't refuse doing this cake, firstly it was to be made for a lady very dear to my Auntie's heart and also, when am I ever going to get the chance to do a 100th birthday cake again?! 
It needed to be as soft as possible so we have eight very thin layers of chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing.
It is a 4" cake to serve 9 for £25.
